What is Sub-6 GHz and mmWave Spectrum? Sub-6 GHz vs mmWave? 5G in India?

5G is fifth-generation cellular wireless, succeeding the 4G LTE networks that we have been connecting .

In 5G technology, two kinds of frequency bands are classified. First are Sub-6 GHz bands where the frequency transmitted from cell phone towers are less than 6GHz frequency. This is very similar to 4G, where the frequencies transmitted from cell phone towers are below 6GHz.

On the other hand, the higher speeds that really set 5G apart from any of the 4G LTE flavors require mmWave (millimeter wave, above 24GHz) high-frequency bands. These high frequencies have very large bandwidths, so they are ideal for keeping everyone connected in busy environments like stadiums.

So, in 5G, these two types of frequency ranges have been defined as:

  • Frequency Range-1 (Sub-6 GHz, less than 6GHz)
  • Frequency Range-2 (mmWave, above 24GHz)

A sub-6 band, 5G technology will be able to cover a larger geographical area for 5G coverage but will not be able to provide higher speed downlink. But an mmWave 5G technology will be able to provide class leading downlink speeds, but at the cost of less geographical area coverage. Now you know the difference and will be able to understand the network strategy of your carrier when you decide to switch over to 5G.

What is VoWiFi? WiFi Calling? How Does VoWiFi Works? Jio vs Airtel

VoWiFi or Voice over Wi-Fi calling is basically making calls using a Wi-Fi connection. In essence, It is voice over IP (VoIP) over a Wi-Fi network. It uses IEEE 802.11 wireless LANs based networks to make Voice over IP (VoIP) calls. In simple terms, the feature will allow you to make normal calls using Wi-Fi when you are in places with low or no network signals.

VoWiFi can be conducted over any Internet accessible device, including a laptop, PDA units which look and function like DECT and cellphones. Just like for IP-DECT, the VoWiFi's main advantages to consumers are cheaper local and international calls, free calls to other VoWiFi units and a simplified integrated billing of both phone and Internet service providers.

Although VoWiFi and 3G have certain feature similarities, VoWiFi is different in the sense that it uses a wireless internet network (typically 802.11) rather than a cellular network. Both VoWiFi and 3G are used in different ways, although with a femtocell the two can deliver similar service to users and can be considered alternatives.

What is RO, UV, UF, MF Water Purifier? RO vs UV vs UF vs MF? Best Water Purifier for Home

What is Reverse Osmosis?

Reverse osmosis (RO) is a water purification process that uses a partially permeable membrane to remove ions, unwanted molecules and larger particles from drinking water.

Reverse osmosis removes contaminants from unfiltered water, or feed water, when pressure forces it through a semipermeable membrane. Water flows from the more concentrated side (more contaminants) of the RO membrane to the less concentrated side (fewer contaminants) to provide clean drinking water. The fresh water produced is called the permeate. The concentrated water left over is called the waste or brine.

A semipermeable membrane has small pores that block contaminants but allow water molecules to flow through. In osmosis, water becomes more concentrated as it passes through the membrane to obtain equilibrium on both sides. Reverse osmosis, however, blocks contaminants from entering the less concentrated side of the membrane. For example, when pressure is applied to a volume of saltwater during reverse osmosis, the salt is left behind and only clean water flows through.

How Does RO System Work?

reverse osmosis system removes sediment and chlorine from water with a prefilter before it forces water through a semipermeable membrane to remove dissolved solids. After water exits the RO membrane, it passes through a postfilter to polish the drinking water before it enters a dedicated faucet.

What is UV Water Purifier?

In a UV water filter system, UV (Ultraviolet) rays are used to kill the harmful bacteria from the water. Hence the water is completely disinfected from pathogens. UV water purifier is good for health because it kills all the harmful microbes present in the water without affecting the taste.

How Does UV Water Purifier Works?

A UV water purifier exposes living organisms, such as bacteria, viruses, or cysts (like Cryptosporidium and Giardia) to a germicidal ultraviolet wavelength. With enough energy, UV radiation at the 254-nm wavelength disrupts the DNA in pathogenic microorganisms so they cannot reproduce. The ultraviolet light prevents bacteria from spreading disease through drinking water.

UV dosage is the measurement of energy (in mJ/cm²) delivered by a UV water purifier. The more dosage provided; the more energy delivered to treat contaminated water. At a certain threshold, this energy becomes sufficient to inactivate most of the microorganisms present in water.

What is UF Water Purifier?

Ultrafiltration (UF) is a membrane filtration process similar to Reverse Osmosis, using hydrostatic pressure to force water through a semi-permeable membrane. Speak with A Product Specialist.

How Does UF Water Purifier Works?

Ultrafiltration uses hollow fibers of membrane material and the feed water flows either inside the shell, or in the lumen of the fibers. Suspended solids and solutes of high molecular weight are retained, while water and low molecular weight solutes pass through the membrane. Ultrafiltration is not fundamentally different from reverse osmosis, microfiltration or nanofiltration, except in terms of the size of the molecules it retains. When strategically combined with other purification technologies in a complete water system, UF is ideal for the removal of colloids, proteins, bacteria, pyrogens, proteins, and macromolecules larger than the membrane pore size from water.

Benefits of UltraFiltration(UF)

  • No need for chemicals (coagulants, flocculates, disinfectants, pH adjustment)
  • Size-exclusion filtration as opposed to media depth filtration
  • Good and constant quality of the treated water in terms of particle and microbial removal
  • Process and plant compactness
  • Simple automation
  • Environmentally friendly

What is MF Water Purifier?

Micro Filtration (MF) / UV Chamber which acts as an additional assurance of safety towards microbial contaminants.

The Micro Filtration system also does not require electricity and works with normal tap water pressure. It removes all the suspended and visible impurities like mud, dirt, sand, rust etc.…from the water.

The MF purifiers cannot remove dissolved salts or harmful metals from the water and hence you will need a RO purifier if your TDS levels are more.

What is CAPTCHA or reCAPTCHA? How Does It Works? I am not a Robot

A “CAPTCHA” is a Turing test to tell human and bots apart. In other words, CAPTCHA determines whether the user is real or a spam robot. It is easy for humans to solve, but hard for “bots” and other malicious software to figure out.

reCAPTCHA is a free service from Google that helps protect websites from spam and abuse. By adding reCAPTCHA to a site, you can block automated software while helping your welcome users to enter with ease.

How Does a CAPTCHA Works?

CAPTCHAs were invented to block spammy software from posting comments on pages or purchasing excess items at once. The most common form of CAPTCHA is an image with several distorted letters. It is also common to choose from a variety of images where you need to select a common theme.

The internet and computers are made up of a unique coding language. Computers find it difficult to understand languages because of the strange and intricate rules human languages take on, along with slang that humans use.

How CAPTCHA prevents Scammers

CAPTCHA has a variety of applications for keeping websites and users secure. These include but are not limited to:

  • Protecting email addresses from scammers
  • Protect website registrations
  • Protects online polling
  • Protects against email worms/junk mail
  • Prevents dictionary attacks
  • Prevents comment spamming on blogs
